SCTD Members

The SCTD brings coherence to the efforts of nine UN agencies and programmes working in the area of tourism for development, allowing them to coordinate their tourism-related work and maximize its impact. This innovative approach to MDG achievement builds on the strengths and expertise of each agency.

Tourism is one of the top three sources of export earnings for nearly half of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and is a priority sector for their further integration in the global economy.
